A small country in the east of the Mediterranean where the official language is Greek and Turkish. Independence since August 16, 1960.
The capital is Nicosia and is connected by road with the whole island.
It is part of Asia Minor, has crystal clear sea, untouched nature, great for a relaxing holiday.
Since Cyprus is still divided into Turkish and Greek, people decided in a referendum to join the EU. So half of Cyprus is in the EU but the other half is officially the same because it is part of the island. It is increasingly developed in terms of tourism because it is in a geographically favorable position towards the eastern countries.
That’s why I put a picture of the coastal city and port because Cyprus is mostly geared towards tourism.
