She has managed a full range of corporate activities, including legal affairs, operations, and environmental compliance. Also knowledgeable on crisis response, Sarah Moya Machado has helped ensure the security of assets and personnel. As a graduate student at the Sorbonne University in France, Ms. Machado focused on issues facing Latin American economies. She continued these studies at the same institution and completed a PhD in political science. Her thesis work in the early 2000s looked in depth at Latin American upstream oil contracts in the 1990s. Ms. Machado also undertook a course on the negotiation of exploration and production in London at the CWC School for Energy Studies. Subsequently engaging as a commercial negotiator, she developed and implemented a number of international long-term natural gas agreements.
