Starting n this week, I started to analyse different points for bassbins. I looked at & summarised into a mind map, the brand values, brand personality& voice, target audience, competitors and mission statement.

I struggled coming up with a mission statement but I looked at some ideas of what to do.

In this week I built a new mind map looking at my branding for bassbins. I looked at my colour paper, font and logo.

I also created another mind map for my who what where when why and how for bassbins.

I continued with my PowerPoint using my mind maps. I also looked more into creating a mission statement using the template on canvas

Today, worked on crating an empathy map also l looked at defining my brand voice more by identifying 5 key words that my brand follows. I looked at how I follow the words by comparing my assets I already have to how they fit with my words.

I also looked at colour theory and what colours to use for bassbins.

This week, I decided that I was going to create a spin off brand from Bassbins and focus on this within my course work, ‘bassbin’s bitches’.

It has been something that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile which is an event underneath Bassbins for an all female lineup, female sound system and incorporating female promoters into the promotion for this event. I realised that I could just create a whole separate brand underneath Bassbins and come up with brand-new branding and promoting women within the industry.

This week I looked into what I wanted the image for ‘Bassbin’s bitches’ to be. I had decided that I was going to stick with the main layout for my original Bassbin’s events, however make it more feminine and basically make it look like what the image is and what it represents.

During this week, I redesigned the initial logo to be a more feminine version of the base gremlin within the bin. I added eyelashes long nails eyeshadow and put the graffiti text logo on the front of the bin with an added text of bitches in pink and so it looks like it’s been sprayed on with white spray paint.

This week I was hunting for different all female ran sound systems however I struggled to find any and this proves one of my points of the lack of women within the industry and how we need to change this and support them in dance music events. There was a sound system in Bristol however this was a dub sound system and my event is more electronic music rather than do however I might think about having a dub night in the future under bassbin’s bitches.

This week I found out that some mutual friends of mine were building an all female sound system however it would not be finished until late summer 2025.

I had brainstormed my idea of building my sound system. I’m using that for the first or first few events on base bins bitches. However, I will what I am struggling with Finances on how to do that because it is expensive. A lot of my friends all own sound systems however they are all men, they have offered to help me put together a sound system using their speakers, but if I was to build a sound system, I’d want to do it by myself with my speakers.

This week I was signing in on who would play at the first event for bassbin’s bitches, I asked quite a lot of of my female friends who do DJ and I have come up with a brief lineup. The event will be a mixture between drum and Bay baseline Jungle trance.

I have collated a lineup consisting of 5/6 women (if I was to play) and they will all be more than happy to play our own event supporting the promotion of women within the music industry.
