My life in the United States was a constant test. As a Colombian who didn’t speak the language perfectly, I faced discrimination and worked in jobs like washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, and cleaning houses. These jobs, though tough, taught me profound lessons. I learned to love my roots, to accept my flaws, and to find strength in my authenticity, it was the moment where I learnt that it was possible to take advantage of my multiculturality.
