In This quote I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. is telling us that he does not like the hatred. He also sees the good in people and the evil. When Martin Luther King Jr. said "

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive". Which means he forgives people who make mistakes. Also people who learn to forgive people are worthy of love. In our society it is good to forgive people if they made a little mistake because think about how that person feels. People can love each other, their school, town, and do that for their society.

What Martin Luther King means is that people can't continue to hate people for their actions, because forgiveness is the true way of solving a problem with someone that one would identify as evil. Everyone has some bad in their souls, but that doesn't mean they can't change. Sometimes, people act the way they do, because, of a problem at home, or are facing some other problem, and, should that be the case, people could help them. By acting aggressive to someone that they hate, they become worse than the person they hate. If we forgive the people who hate us, we may learn why they act the way they do, and could perhaps help them. MLK Jr. meant here that, for everything someone bad has done, people must remember that they have some bad in them as well, and that the person who they hate may have a good reason for their actions. These words can be applied to today, because, even now, people are bullied by others, but if they look beyond the persons rudeness, they may see that they are going through things through their lives, and that if the person that is being bullied forgives the bully for their actions and view of them, then the bully may stop being mean, and could become friends with the other person.

In this article I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. didn't like the fact that people were showing hatred in ways being that he wanted America to be free from the segregation. Another thing is that he said "He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love". Showing how thy who is willing to not go through the fight thy will be able to learn to end the fight. Reasoning towards how we had the Blacks Lives Matter movement towards trying to be able to show that everyone is equal and that reasoning towards segregation when blacks were separated from different things because where different from everybody else. Showed how Martin Luther King Jr. also said "When we discover this, we are prone to hate our enemies". He used the word prone in his speech making a claiming that it meant that he was prone to anger showing how he was regretting the fact to forgive his many enemies and to be able to change and move America to a better place in a way where he would be very successful by doing this.

He states in the quote that, "There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us." Just in this one part of the quote alone I know that he is trying to show that nothing is perfect. You can try as hard as you want to be perfect but nobody is and everyone should just accept that. The more we forgive the more love we will have in the world. Martin Luther King, Jr., is correct saying "There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us." We are not all perfect and we tend to struggle together and hate each other. Martin Luther King, Jr. does not want us to act like this towards each other. An example of this can be with your family, with your friends or a relationship. I understand what he's saying when he says that" There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us." Like for an example the BML protest is to show that when George Floyd was not even showing any resistance and cooperating and they just took his life right then and there but also the protest at the capitol there is a huge difference their because between the bml protest and this. The bml protest was peaceful and they used gas and rubber bullets but when it becomes breaking into the capitol nothing no force. That's not equally at all.

When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.”-Martin Luther King, Jr., reminds us, that to move forward and succeed, we need to forgive. Forgiving is not forgetting, but letting go of the past, the bad that had happened, giving them another chance, another opportunity. Being angry, feeling hatred can blind someone to the good, the deeper meaning. Just because someone of another race or background did something wrong once, does not mean everyone else like them is the same. This was a huge issue with segregation, and today in several different ways. We need to forgive and move forward, to feel better for ourselves, and others. And we need to realize that at the end of the day, we are all human, we all make mistakes, and we should all learn to forgive.

When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.”-Martin Luther King, Jr. means to me that in order to truly love someone, you have to be willing to forgive them. Everyone messes up and everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how we move on AFTER those mistakes. In the 1920s, the KKK was in action. They were nativists (people born inside of the country they are living in) and they were against immigrants, using continuous violence. It is important to understand that even though what the KKK did was extremely cruel, immigrants and other KKK targets have to focus on forgiveness and love so that they can live a better life and move past conflicts. Even today, if we aren't willing to forgive our friends and family for a mistake they made, we are denying the power of love, because everyone (despite their mistakes) has good inside them.

Forgiveness is the key to getting along with others and live in peace. Everyone has their ups and downs at points but if you only see one or the other, you won't truly know who they are. And if you can't do that, there may be things you don't like about them that cause you to hate them. Seeing what someone is truly like, forgiving them for what they've done is what makes true peace, it's what brings us together.

What this quote means is there is good and bad in everyone, everyone has there flaws. But in order for love we need to learn to forgive people because everyone does things they shouldn't do. We need to forgive them in order to love them.

The first half of the quote talks about forgiving, and that when we can forgive we can love. I think this is true because how can you have one without the other? And the second half of the quote speaks of the good and bad in all of us. What I think MLK Jr. is saying here is that when we can see each other as imperfect human beings and learn to forgive, that's when we can truly love one another. It's important to love and forgive even our enemies because we all make mistakes, and we all deserve to be treated with kindness.

This quote means that within everyone, there is good, and there is evil. But what's more powerful than evil, is the power to forgive. There are many people in this world that do evil things. It is now part of human nature in a way. It is more important to forgive for their actions, than hold a grudge.
