Hey Coach! Can We talk?

One of my best friends is named Ty Nekoliczak. Ty used to hate me. When I was in 2nd grade it was the first year I ever met Ty. We met at Wrestling practice and I weighed a lot more than Ty. But sometimes I had to wrestle Ty and he would get super mad at me because I was so much bigger than him and he couldn’t win. I didn’t know he hated me until his cousin Kyle said right to my face that we weren't friends and they didn’t like me. Now that I think of this I find it hysterical. But ever since 4th grade we have been really good friends. He got to know me better because Greeley-Wolbach combined schools and we were in the same class. To this day Ty is still one of my best friends. I love being around Ty because he makes me laugh constantly.

Hey Coach Can We Talk?

My friend Aubry and I have been best friends since I can remember. Our friendship began when we were young. My parents and her parents are friends. So when we first met, Aubry had her pony named Bubbles. I wanted to ride Bubbles, so did she so we took Bubbles over to the fence and tried to get on him. We would switch back and forth trying to figure out how to get on him, as our parents laughed the whole time. Finally we decided to get a bucket and climb on it. We finally got on after about twenty minutes. We are still friends and now we are both going to High School rodeoes. We see each other every weekend. We ride horses together and even try to ride Bubbles. I am sure that we will be friends for the rest of our lives. Now, Bubbles is still alive and her little brother, Spur, rides him.

Niafra, an exchange student from French West Africa, feels that American students “do not give enough honor to their teachers.” Do you think teachers deserve more honor than what is regularly given them by their students? Should they be honored more or less than parents are? In what way—if any—do you “honor” your teachers? Elaborate on this topic.
