Jonas’ father is a passionate nurturer. He is pleased with his job. He is a shy and quiet man, and he has loved the newchildren since he was a child. 

Jonas’ Mother
Jonas' mother works in the department of justice. She seems to want her children to become something honourable and not something lazy like becoming a birth mother. She seems to want to do everything properly.

Most likely being a stuffed animal or blanket. In our world, children just loose interest in their comfort objects around the ages of 5-10. In my opinion, children shouldn’t have their comfort objects taken away. Children shouldn’t have their comfort objects taken awat because even though kids need to learn to be independent, it really depends on the maturity of the child and how they act and behave. I feel like the ceremony of twelve is like graduating from grade twelve from our world. There are definitely some differences like the children are way younger in this community, and when people graduate in our world, they do not have their jobs assigned to them. I think that the way this community assigns jobs is in a way an okay process for indecisive people. When the council members in this novel, assign a job they have taken what you do and think into consideration, and in the book it states that not many people don’t like the jobs they receive. It also enforces people to get a job. In our world, people can choose what they want to grow up to do. If you think about it, if too many people want to do one thing and not enough people want to do another, how will that affect us. For example, if the majority of students graduating want to be a lawyer or accountant and only few want to be doctors or teachers there will be a huge problem. We would not only have barely any health care but we would have no one to teach us what to do which is why teachers are so important. In our world almost 50% of classes (Sometimes more) are acting as clowns in the class. I think that it is good to have order in a school, and however the council in this Novel are organising the community is good for the schools so that the students can learn without disruptions. Jonas hoarded the apple from the recreational center and got called out by the council. In our world if someone has a high status and is commonly known they get called out for small mistakes. When someone is called out on making a mistake they normally learn from it. Being told mistakes can be helpful but at the same time it can cause guilt, panic, or overthinking. I think that to let someone know they have made a mistake they should be gently made aware of their mistake.
