  • Erosion of farmland, excessive and overuse of the ground and surface water, diminishing supply of fossil fuels, and extinction of plants and animal species exposes the earth’s ability to provide resources to meet the needs of increasing human population. 
  • We must, therefore, need to preserve our motherland. This preservation can be ensured by sustainable use of resources. Let us now understand the meaning of sustainability and sustainable development.
