She had been missing her grandmother lately, and the city was not the same without her grandmothers chickens squacking on the busy sidewalks. This morning she felt different...everything seemed sharper, more defined and with brighter colors. It felt like her eyesight had somehow improved over night. She shook off those thoughts as she made her way across her childhood village called Soul Society.  

She immediately noticed something was off at her grandmothers cottage. There was silence that teased her with every step forward she took. She reached the front door and felt the intense need to bolt through and find her mother knitting in her bedroom. As she turned the door knob she noticed a bright purple light gleaming from under the door. She opened the door and couldn't believe her eyes. On top of her grandmothers dining table was a floating purple orb. She rushed to her grandmothers bedroom and discovered that she was not in her usual spot by her desk knitting. She searched the house and found no traces of her. Yoruichi began to panic as she imagined all of the possible things that could of happened. Her grandmother always told her that there would come the day when she would no longer be around and she imagined if this is what she meant -- after all the elder in Soul Society never died, their bodies and souls were eternal. She went back to the living room to inspect the purple orb and stopped as soon as she realized there was a magnetic pull. She thought, how is this possible. She moved slowly towards the orb as she started to imagine if her grandmother had been standing in the same exact spot as her. In a matter of minutes she heard an explosion and felt her body suspended through the small room. yoruichi shihouin surpassed their expectations. every moment she had was dedicated to the protection of the Soul Society and the continued improvement of their military forces. her training sequence and career actions were honored with awards, a statue, and the title of 2nd Division Captain of the Gotei 13. 

then, several high-standing captains and lieutenants went missing from the Soul Society. some say that it was an inside job. some say that a dark force was plotting to destroy the Soul Society.

then, yoruichi disappeared. mysteriously, two of her close friends disappeared in the same month.
