It is about a girl looking for her friend Tom, they are playing hide and seek in their house. </p><p><br/></p><p>Lesson: I can introduce the short O sound in class and have the students practice this throughout other lessons. Then I can use this book as a from of assessment and have the students read the book with me one on one. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Flyleaf Pub.</p><p><br/></p><p>Summary: This book focuses on the use of multisyllabic words and works on the W sound in the text. The book is about a guy named Will and he is up to bat. He hits a ball and runs around all of the bases and scores. </p><p><br/></p><p>Lesson: I would use this in a group setting with the students and work with them on finding the syllables in the words. I would read the page to them and ask how many syllables are in certain words, starting with simple words and getting more complex with practice. </p>]]></description>

The main target endings that this book is focusing on is the ng sound. The book is about a little girl who finds a cricket and catches it. Then it sings by her swing. </p><p><br/></p><p>Lesson: I would have the students read the book in groups. One student will read while the other students have a paper and pencil and write down words that have the ending NG. When the book is over the students will compare their papers to see if they got all the words. </p>]]></description>

It talks about a king enjoying the pleasures of the spring weather as well as the unexpected nature of the weather. </p><p><br></p><p>Lesson: I would have the students get in a circle and do the popcorn reading. Each student will read a page. While they do this I will help the students with words they do not know. After the reading I will have the students talk to me about what they saw in the book and what digraphs they noticed. </p>]]></description>

The story of the book is about a family camping trip and details what goes on during a camping trip such as, making tents, collecting wood, and cooking. </p><p><br></p><p>Lesson: I would have the students all stand up and act out the actions of the words that I am reading to them. This will help them put the target words into their memory. After I would have the students re-read the book with a partner. </p>]]></description>

The book also targets the consonant R sound. The book is about a ram and ant racing to the top of a mountain. The ram gets a ways ahead of the ant and takes a nap but while that is happening the ant passes him and wins the race. </p><p><br></p><p>Lesson: I would have the students come up to my desk and read the book to me. When they come to a word they do not know I will have them sound out the individual letters and then work with them to blend the letters. </p>]]></description>

Then the students will read the book. Once they have read the book they will go back through it and count how many compound words they can find. </p>]]></description>

She goes through the colors and mixes them to make new colors to help her with her paintings </p><p><br/></p><p>Lesson: For this book I will have the students sit together in the room and read the book to them. I will randomly pick words from each page and have the students clap out how many syllables there are in the words that I have chosen. I will star out with one word and continue to add more more multisyllabic words. </p>]]></description>

Then they will be separated into 4 groups and they will talk about words that they struggled with and words that they noticed sound the same. I will be going around the room and prompting each groups with questions to help them out. </p>]]></description>

This book is a short poem about seagulls and what they do throughout the day. </p><p><br></p><p>Lesson: I will use this as a form of assessment. I will have students read the book to me and I can grade their fluency and word recognition. If students do well they can move on to different content and if students struggle it will show me what to help them with. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>
