Looking at this material for long amounts of time negatively effects you. It can cause you to be socially awkward around people in public after being exposed to lots of this material and then trying to act normally around casual people. High amounts of this material can lead to depression, or other mental illnesses. To try to limit this issue you must primarily acknowledge the issue and the negativities that come with it. Seek professional help like a therapist and discuss solutions with them.

What is the impact of fixed/strict ideas about masculinity on: Individuals, Society?

Men may feel pressured into expressing their emotions, which if led on can lead to various mental health issues. Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, are some of the consequences which can occur after this issue. Any individual who is impacted by these fixed ideas may experience identity conflict and a lack of self acceptance. In a societal view, fixed ideas of such can create toxic work environments, where people compete instead of collaborating. Societal norms that equate masculinity can contribute to higher rates of violence and assault.

Pornography and everything in it is not real. This leads to it sending all sorts of incorrect ideas to a young viewers mind. They will gain incorrect ideas of consent, masculinity and femininity, sex duration, sexual behaviour, violence in sex, how to act in a relationship sexual or non sexual.

Accessing pornography under the legal age can lead to legal consequences for the viewer. And distributing child porn is a severe crime. Viewing explicit content excessively can lead to misunderstanding and conflicts in personal relationships, and if you rely on watching porn for satisfaction too heavily, this can limit your social skills and interactions. Viewing this content too much for some can lead to mental illnesses such as anxiety or depression. Accessing this fake content can cause conflicts for yourself, taking away self esteem and how you feel about your body.

1. How is difference treated at school? 2. How have you approached difference? 3. How could things be better at school with regard to difference? 4. What can you change in personality in how you respond to difference?

In perspective of our teachers, they teach and act in a way to make them feel included, happy, and comfortable. There may be some nasty comments made by students to their friends, or some students may approach them and show kindness. I tend to approach difference with an open and positive mindset. I will attempt to forget about negative comments I have hear myself, and do my best to make them feel comfortable. To improve the inclusion of difference, our school is required to always treat them like a normal student which can include sitting next to them, hang out with them, spreading kindness, etc. And we are also required to act on negativity or bullying just like any other scenario. In future I can approach the difference always with an open and confident mind, considering what it is like in their shoes. Offering my friendship and support is a great change in personality, which can help out in many ways.

1. How do you differ from the person in your scenario? 2. What have you learnt from participating in the activity?

The person in my scenario was a young Asian male who is gay. It seems odd to compare it to me as I appear much different. My person could be experiencing personal conflicts as a young person and is not currently sure who he really is, resulting in this decision of sexuality. He could be experiencing bullying for his sexuality at school, or may find it hard finding friends. Comparing to me, I am a young male, although I am not Asian nor gay. In society, a young person which fits this description would most likely find it hard to fit in and may not be treated or welcomed in they way he would like. Participating in this activity provided some insight into what it is like as another young individual who may be facing conflicts in life. Having to make the decision whether to take a step forwards or back, caused me to take a second and picture his life. I also heard some other scenarios from my peers around me, which included worse and better descriptions. The people which were always taking steps back tended to include drugs, alcohol, race or body difficulties. Whereas the people always taking steps forwards and who made it to the end had descriptions which seemed a lot better and under control. For example a peer had the description, "A young male who has decided to have kids when married." This is a very normal thing and there are no conflicts mentioned here. This activity has given me more of an understanding of the conflicts people some people are facing, and what the consequences are for them. Many people have a much harder life than myself and this activity really opens my eyes.

1. What are some positive outcomes of challenging discrimination and transphobia for the transgender, gender diverse, and non binary community? 2. How can challenging discrimination and transphobia benefit everyone in society?

Challenging discrimination and transphobia provides an opportunity for a safer and greater world. It allows individual to live safely without the fear of violence or harassment. Reduced discrimination improves individuals mental health by giving them our support, reducing rates of mental disorders like depression or anxiety. Challenging discrimination opens up opportunities in education, employment, and healthcare, enabling individuals to thrive and feel more connected to society. Including these people strengthens community relationships and provides a supporting network to share their thoughts and ideas. In a societal view, this promotes equality and justice. Everyone will be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of their gender identity. Addressing transphobia helps to reduce the amount of harmful stereotypes, leading to more understanding and acceptance among the society.

1. What are some aggressive, passive, and assertive ways of responding to your scenario? 2. How do body language and tone of voice affect this?

My scenario was: A classmate who you get along with has recently added you to a group chat. You notice them calling another classmate gay as an insult. You don't know whether the person is gay, but you feel uncomfortable with the word being used in a negative way. You want the comments to stop. An aggressive approach to this problem could be saying, "Stop using gay as an insult, It's offensive and wrong!" This approach may escalate the situation and lead to more conflict. Or it could help the others realise that they are being mean to another classmate and deescalate the situation. A passive response to this situation would include saying, "I guess it's just a joke, but maybe we shouldn't say that." This response may not effectively communicate your discomfort, in other ways you are holding back a little. Which can result in comments continuing, therefore without any action taken this problem can become worse. Finally, an assertive response to this situation can include saying, "I feel uncomfortable with gay being used as an insult. Can we keep the chat respectful?" This response carefully expresses your thoughts, while not holding back or being too aggressive, but staying respectful and considering the needs of others. This encourages a small change in behaviour without causing conflict. Body language can convey confidence, openness, or defensiveness. Assertive body language assists in communicating sincerity and respect. The tone of voice influences how your message is received. An assertive tone is calm and steady, while an aggressive tone is intimidating and can provoke defensiveness.

If my partner made the excuse of They're such a passion killer, I would try to negotiate with them and explain how I feel safer by using a condom. I would say "I understand that you feel this way, but I don't feel ready for this amount of risk, and I still believe that we will have lots of enjoyment." If they still refuse to wear a condom, I would respectfully pull out of this decision for now and maybe come back to it another day. If my partner said, "we're monogamous, we don't need them now," I would either say yes you are right, or say no sorry I'm not just ready yet depending on if I am ready to have a baby and agree with it. If my partner said "I don't have a condom on me." I would not risk having unsafe sex with the chance of creating a baby. I would say, "It's ok, do you think we can wait until tomorrow? If we went to go then buy a condom, the mood will be dead by the time we are ready. If my partner has the excuse, they are against my beliefs, I would say to them "Well I just think I am not ready for that yet, although you may be against them. My partner should therefore respect my decision and support me in the future.

Sexual health is a big topic which breaks down into smaller topics including, sex, porn, femininity, masculinity, gender diversity, different types of tone, body language, sexual and non sexual relationships, STI's and much more. Sexual health relates to a state of physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing in relation to sexuality. It includes a positive and always respectful approach to educating one about sexual relationships, as well as being able to have enjoyable and safe experiences.
