It also gives people, young and old, inspiration to push forward and past their comfort zone, and chase their dreams, and Olympics only happen once every 4 years, so people looking forward to go to the Olympics, preparing in the 4 years time might find that their dream got crushed if the Olympics stopped, so even though Olympic does use a lot of money, it shouldn't be stopped completely in my opinion

The olympics are fundedby the money shows pay to broadcast the games. It's also gets money by seting up events. So the money that could be used for poverty or in othe ares are the governments way of spending. Another statment I am not on term with is canceling the olimpics. 

What good will canceling the olipics do because the money the olimpics uses will just be unused and it's not tax payer dollars so the government won't own the money.
