The physical feature that prevented people from going to Kentucky was that it was very hard to get there from Virginia and they had to go across the Appalachian Mountains which were to high and steep.
I found my answer on page 63 paragraph 2 of the Social Studies book.When I read this it reminded me of when my mom said she wanted to go to Scotland but i refused to because i don't want mouth to be FILLED WITH CHEESE!!Just like how many people refused to go to Kentucky because of the long journey.
