My community that I have chosen is the Children's Advocacy Center of West Texas. Within the walls of the community build of the child advocacy center there is different resources to help each family. There is 5 different resources through this center, CASA, Hope House, Family Enrichment Services, Therapy Services, and finally Outreach and Education. The impact that this center has on the citizens of san angelo are huge. The resources that have been put in place are helping thses families through such tough times. Through the Hope House and Therapy resources provided over 5,500 people have been impacted and that is incredible. (Childrens Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas, 2024.)

Throughout the time of being at the children's advocacy center there are trainings offered to families to get the best help that these children can get. There are trainings to get educated on the community to try to get these victim a voice and able to protect these children. Two of the trainings that are offered are a Protective Factors Framework Training and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse Training. These trainings are provided to make sure parents and family members have the right training in order to provide the necessary needs for the children.

The Children's Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas has a page dedicated to recent news outlets as well as events being hosted for people to come out and join. These events are showing to people that the center cares about the wellbeing of the children and families that are interested in joining the CACGWT family. After doing all of the research about the community at the children/s advocacy center it seems that everyone comes together to make sure everyone is loved and overcoming the terrible events that have occured in our lives.

Business that have helped the CAC and have become partners in the San Angelo Family Resource Center also know as the FRC, this is located within the business of the CAC. This business has been known as the donation closet for some and is a resource center for whoever made need what they are offering. The business as well as the CAC have always accepted new and unopened gifts and make sure that everything is allowed to be there as well as safe for the children that they are going to. The website for the CAC provides clear instructions as well as a simple design to find how to donate and all of the information of the center on its website.

The community involvement analysis assignment was an eye opener for me as a future child advocate because I saw first hand in the meeting that I attended. Some of these school districts and counselors don't always have the children or parents in mind, and this meeting showed first hand who they truly care about.
