We chose this project because its used in many real life situations , we wanted to show how waves can be controlled , we also used 3d printing which makes our project unique as we discover experimenting with new types of materials

Which type of Mega Phone we selected

There are mainly 2 types of Mega Phones , Mega Phones with circuits which can double your voice many times and Mega Phones without circuits which do double your voice but not as many times as Mega Phones with circuits we have selected Mega Phones which do not have any circuits since the ones that have circuits are too advanced to craft for merely 7th graders

How Mega Phones Work

A Mega Phone without circuits works when we talk into it which causes sound waves to reflect towards the inner walls and ultimately the outer wall , this increases the intensity of the sound wave by a couple times , the shape of Mega Phones plays a big part in this because it doesnt let the sound waves scatter around

The material of a Mega Phone can improve your amplitude which can increase the loudness of your voice , the most popular material which is used in Mega Phones is plastic but Steel and metal can double the voice several times

It is cost effective keeping in mind that it has no circuit

It is Durable and has Low maintenance as it has no circuit , even if the material is low quality it still can be used for a good amount of time

The Cons of this Mega Phone

In extreme situations when you need everyone to hear your voice Mega Phones without circuits can be quite limiting

Voices in the environment can affect effectiveness

It works in one direction only so people in other directions wouldn't be able to hear

Size does matter but if the Mega Phone is bulky and heavy it would be hard to carry it
