I find it interesting because even when people wouldn't allow her to do certain things she still never gave up for example when Marian was younger she had tried to perform in The Constitution Hall but because of the color of her skin she wasn't allowed to. Back then there was so much racism towards black people that they had almost no rights. Especially for women. But she decided if she can't preform here she'll go somewhere else and start a new. So she went to Eroupe. People adored her there. she was famous so one day she decided to go back to America and soon enough she became famous there to.
