         <description><![CDATA[<div>This tool can be used to create infographics, presentations, concept maps, reports, etc. &nbsp;<br><br>Students can use Visme to capture material that is meaningful to them to help them learn concepts and material.  Visme also has collaborative tools students can use to collaborate on projects.  Creating a graphic organizer could be an alternative to taking a pen/paper test as it would allow the student to higher levels of thinking (Durgin, 2022). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>TedTalks are videos showcasing talks from experts in areas of science, technology, art, business leaders, etc., that present information in their fields of expertise.  Videos can be filtered by age making availability possible for all grade levels.  &nbsp;<br><br>TedTalks are great tools for bringing ideas into the classroom and starting conversations.  This tool can help students better grasp concepts that they might not fully understand at first and help them to begin thinking critically about the world around them (Cucinotta, 2014). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This communication platform is for teachers, students, and families.&nbsp; This app's unique feature is that it works on all mobile devices and translates messages to the user's native language.&nbsp;<br><br>This is an excellent tool for English Language Learners and will promote greater family engagement, in turn building relationship with the student's parent/guardian.&nbsp; Teachers can interact with family members in their own language, creating a sense of community between themselves, student, and family (Talking Points, 2022). &nbsp;This interaction will improve socio-emotional development as students will see that their native language is valued, aiding them in building a sense of pride in their culture and build a stronger self-identity (Stechuk &amp; Pierce, 2022). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explain Everything is a digital whiteboard for teachers and students that can be used in a virtual learning environment or a face-to-face classroom.&nbsp; It can be integrated with learning management systems such as Schoology, Blackboard, Google Classroom, and Moodle. &nbsp;<br><br>Using a digital whiteboard allows for the integration of a wide variety of multimedia resources including sound, text, videos, and pictures (Morgan, 2010).  This is a great way to reach students with various learning styles as it appeals to the auditory, tactile, and visual learner, providing for differentiation in instruction based on various need (Morgan, 2010).  This tool also allows for teacher-to-student and student-to-student collaboration.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This instructional technology platform allows educators to facilitate, assess, and measure student-driven discussions.&nbsp; It can be used in a virtual learning or face-to-face environment.&nbsp; This application allows will show who is contributing to conversations and lets the educator assess how often students answer in real time.&nbsp;<br><br>Use Parlay for collaboration in projects and group discussions.  Student-led discussions builds relationships and encourages a sense of community in the classroom but especially for virtual learners (Josephs, 2020).  The teacher can provide a prompt about a topic or content and allow students to organically begin conversations and build knowledge.  This could also be used as an icebreaker by providing a "get to know" you topic.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This video discussion platform allows educators to post videos over a given topic then share it with students.&nbsp; Once shared, students can be prompted to respond via video.&nbsp; This platform fosters engagement in a supportive, social environment by allowing students to share their voice.&nbsp; This resource does not require a physical classroom. &nbsp;<br><br>Teachers can use this in a virtual learning environment or with face-to-face instruction.  The educator can post a topic related to content area and then wait for student response.  This allows students time to think about their response fostering engagement for those students who are anxious and less likely to respond in real time.  This empowers students and fosters expression resulting in deeper understanding of the content (Edwards, 2021).  <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Screencastify is a tool that allows users to record up to five minutes video of video (on the free version) and edit from their device then share it via playback later.&nbsp; This application can be used in any content area.&nbsp;<br><br>Math teachers might find this an ideal tool to use to check students' work.  The student can work a problem and show their work via video.  The teacher can see how the work is done, better equipping them to resolve any issue the student might be having while attempting to do the work.  Teachers can also use this app to provide feedback to students.  This affords the opportunity to review feedback as needed.  Providing feedback via video allows the teacher to tailor remarks to the unique needs of varied students (Chiappetta, 2021). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This web tool and mobile application is a game-based platform that uses flashcard decks to enhance students' learning experience.&nbsp; Students can use this individually or in the Quizlet Live version to compete against each other.&nbsp;<br><br>Educators can use this tool to conduct formative assessments of the class.  Polls, surveys, and game-based quizzes can be used to assess comprehension of content allowing for reteaching or intervention as needed.  This is an excellent tool for vocabulary building.  Once content has been introduced, this tool allows students to review as often as they like until mastery is achieved.  This application provides for differentiation as different modalities are available within the app including fill-in-the-blank tools, tests for quick checks on how well information has been retained, time-based matching, level-based games, and personalized study modes (Applied Educational Systems, 2019).  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nearpod is an application that allows teachers to make any lesson interactive whether virtual or face-to-face.&nbsp; Educators create interactive presentations containing polls, videos, collaboration boards, and quizzes.&nbsp; Educators also have access to thousands of pre-made lessons for K-12 available.&nbsp; Students have access to to the presentation via a code given to them by their instructor allowing them to move through and interact with the presentation.&nbsp; Or, a self-paced mode is available.&nbsp; This allows students to control the pace of the lesson and is ideal for use on weather days, homework, independent work, or on sub days.&nbsp;<br><br>Teachers can use this to distribute resources on a specific topic or as a live formative assessment.  If using as an assessment, the educator can create a quiz and check for understanding in real-time (Acton, 2021).  Ongoing assessment data can also be attained via Nearpod.  Teachers can also use this medium to assign homework by providing a self-paced code to access from anywhere.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This product provides educators with tools that ide in communicating and connecting with students and parents.&nbsp; With this application, content, videos, assignments, and homework can be shared with students online.&nbsp; Edmodo provides a vehicle for students to easily communicate with their teachers and classmates.&nbsp; This platform feels like a social networking site as it contains aspects that feel familiar to students such as a timeline or wall to scroll through.<br><br>Edmoto can be used for collaboration as students can share information and ask each other questions.  Educators can use this tool to create learning groups and embed instructional content such as videos.  Students will benefit from Edmodo as they can use it for peer tutoring, gain instant feedback from instructors and review instructor annotations.  Parents can also log into the app to review work and grades.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
