Trade with other countries and cultures gives people awareness of the rest of the world that they might not have had otherwise. For example...okay, never mind. But you know how like back in the day Europeans were all like, gross, get these weird Muslims off our continent? Without the economic motivations of trade, they probably would have stopped contact with the middle east. You know what was in the middle east because the middle easterns had it for centuries? ANCIENT TEXTS??????

okay fam we wouldn't have had a lot of things if it wasn't for trade por ejemplo free trade stopped france and britain from going to war over the nile river I think we should all be grateful for that

if free trade boo was written by henry that would make me sad thanks now I feel ignorant

The reason why many developing countries revolt is because they are poorer. Free trade not only allows us to specialize which will pave the way for maximum profit (the goal of all production) but its gives consumers more diversity in the foods they eat, the clothes they wear, and it increases aggregate demand which increases GDP growth.
