Rome controlled the countries from 31bc to 467ce. Latin and Greek where the main languages in the roman empire, but other languages where important regionally. Most of the people would go to the main cities like Thessalonica in Greece, Alexandria in Egypt and Antioch in the East and the people travelled by road and sea but tried to avoid the roads because there where a lot of bandits and thieves who would steal goods.

Paul, Barnabas and their other friend John Mark from Syria Antioch.  To start off there journey the took a boat to Salamis which is in Cyprus which was where Barnabas. As they arrived the proclaimed the words of God to the Jews in the synagogues. Paul and Barnabas then travelled through the Mediterranean Sea and arrived in Paphos. In Paphos Paul punished a bad man for being a false prophet and lying about Jesus to the governor. Soon after the governor realised and turned Christian. He had a lot of challenges and boundaries, such as beatings, getting ill, exhaustion, imprisonment and more. After Pauls conversion, everyone was scared if him and doubted him because of his previous behaviour. Paul also faced a major cultural challenge which was circumcision. Circumcision was done by everybody but Paul thought differently. He thought god would love anyone wether they had been circumcised or not.

Some can be interpreted. Such as Philippians 2:1-5. This letter talks about being united with Christ and to not be selfish by putting other before yourself. He also talks about following in God you will find love and comfort with his help.
