Why was this significant: By taking over Rhineland Hitler had taken away France's miltary advantage, they had ports and things there that would've helped them during the war and the fact that Germany had taken that over is very significant, this was the first straw.

Quote: "I can't believe Germany invaded Rhineland! That takes away a lot of our goods for the impending war!" - Random person.

Key people/person: Hitler and the German troops were the key players behind all of this, Hitler had made sure that the troops took away land bit by bit so that he could end up having it all for himself.

Interesting fact: An interesting fact about this is that Hitler got away with all of it, he wasn't punished in any way even though he broke trust and a treaty.

Significance: It's hard to understand why the rescue at Dunkirk was such a big deal without truly knowing what happened. During the war the Germans were spreading westward through the Maginot line, this caused thousands of French and British troops to flee, eventually they couldn't go anywhere else and they ended up being stuck, ships from Britain came through the English to be able to help them all escape, this was huge because it saved a lot of Britain's troops which was needed to keep the allied cause in full motion.

Quote: "Help us! The Germans are approaching quickly!" - Random person from France.

Key players: The key players that were involved in the rescue at Dunkirk was the British boats that came to save the other people, they were the main people that helped the troops to be able escape Dunkirk and keep the allies standing up strong.

Fact: A fact about this is that Germany actually won the rescue at Dunkirk, most people think that the allies had won but instead Germany over powered them.

Significance: D-day also called the Normandy invasion happened on June 6th, 1944, these invasions were such a big deal because the allied countries suffered so many casualties, they wanted to invade Normandy because they wanted to have a presence in Europe, to be able to shut down Germany more easily, but in the end a lot of lives were lost on that day.

Quote: "Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened." - Dwight Eisenhower.

Key players: The key players in this invasion were the troops that invaded Normandy. Without the sacrificing that a lot of people did that day we might not even be here, Hitler was spreading quickly and they wanted to knock out all of the people and places that he had access to just for the future of us.

Fact: Something interesting about this event is that there were about five thousand ships that were used to fight along side the troops, these ships would've helped people that needed aid and even helped transport soldiers onto land from the ships, they played a key role in this invasion and helped the allied powers out a lot.

Significance: The Nuremburg laws were a set of laws that were racist and unjust towards the Jewish people, this was such a big deal because this was one of the first steps taken that would eventually lead to attempt of exterminating the Jewish. These laws basically said that the Jews were a completely different part of Germany and they should stop acting like they are German and adopt their own Jewish ways.

Quote: "I can now not be married to my husband because of my Jewish background." - Random Jewish lady.

Key players: Hitler and the German government were the key players in this one for obvious reasons, they were the mastermind behind all of this, they thought that the Jews embarrassed Germany so they deserved to be embarrassed in their own country.

Fact: A fact about the Nuremburg laws is that there were a lot of people that were named to be Jews when they weren't even Jews, basically everyone that didn't have blue eyes and blonde hair was named to be a Jew because Hitler just saw them all as monsters.

Significance: Death camps are one of the most inhumane ways to die, many people in Germany of a different background were placed in these camps because of their religion, race, or anything that doesn't fall under Hitler's good radar. These camps were such a big deal because they were taking out mass groups of people with no remorse, it was an inhumane action and it's always a big deal when one person gets killed but it's even worse when millions of people are murdered.

Quote: "There were not six million jews murder, it was one murder six million times." - Abel Herzberg"

Key players: Key players involved in death camps were the Nazis who watched over the prisoners, they were the ones who carried out Hitler's demands and killed the Jews, they were the ones who tortured a lot of them just for experiments that would go wrong anyways, and they were the ones who committed one of the biggest murders there could ever be.

Fact: a fact about the death camps of this time is that the gas chambers but also known as the "showers" could kill about two thousand people at a time, the gas chambers claimed about 12,000 lives on average in a day.

Significance: Bombing of cities was so significant during the war because there had been no war like that where bombing was one of the main line of offense that was used against the country being attacked.

Quote: "More bombs drop on the cities, and now I have lost my children due to this horrible warfare." - Random woman from one of the bombed cities.

Key players: The key players in the bombing of cities was the new air force branch, they flew the planes that would bomb the cities and kill everyone in them, or a lot of them. The Airforce was also the key players because they had a lot of suicide missions that would basically mean that they would kill themselves in order to protect their country.

Fact: a fact about the bombing of cities that I didn't know until now was that they were strategic to bomb on the cities that were needed to have a bomb dropped on them.

Significance: The significance of this event was that everyone at it was able to agree to split the country of Germany into four small sections to be able to take them over more easily, this affected the war because it helped the three country to attack Hitler and get rid of him easier.

Quote: “TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND SECURITY” - said by the three representatives by at the meeting, intended to help keep the peace between them three and the rest of the country.

Key players: The key players in this event were Stalin, FDR, and Churchill, these were the key players in this event because they were the ones who set up the conference and they were the ones who started to want to keep the peace between them and to take down Germany as a team.

Interesting fact: Something that I found interesting about this event was that the representatives all agreed that no more people would fall to Nazi, Germany, they would be shut down immediately and they would not allow Germany to claim any more lives than they already have.
