This means that adjustments such as white balance, exposure, contrast, saturation, sharpness can all be altered in an image editing software, after the image has been taken.<br><br>A file with the <strong>CR2</strong> file extension <strong>is</strong> a Canon Raw Version 2 image file created by a Canon digital camera. <strong>CR2</strong> files are based on the TIFF file specification, so they're usually high quality, uncompressed, and large.<br><br>NEF (<strong>Nikon Electronic Format</strong>) NEF is the is Nikon's RAW data from the camera.
