After Pershing’s time in the military, he decides to take a different role and heads to The University of Nebraska, where he took on a new leadership role, where he taught military science and started working on his law degree. What he became known at the University more than anything was how he took over the Universities failing military program along with it’s one hundred cadets. Pershing took these men and turned them around with the military discipline leadership. Within a year of Pershing taking over the military program over 350 new cadets had joined. They later went onto win in their division at the National Military Drill Competition.” In honor of their former cadet corps commander, the University of Nebraska military drill team renamed itself “Pershing’s Rifles”

McCoy, B.

As the war came to an end on November 11, 1918, General Pershing followers thought that without a doubt his next part of services would be the White House. When Pershing returned back to the U.S. it seemed as if this is what was going to happen, with the parade on horseback with twenty-five thousand soldiers following him down fifth avenue in New York, and on lookers showering them with rose petals. He was a man that was loved among his people. As stories started to roll around about which side of the house Pershing would stand, “Pershing intended to distance himself from politics and deny his status as a definite candidate. Because he knew he wouldn’t enter the convention with majority support, he planned to present himself as a “dark horse,” a compromise candidate” Fanta, B. (2021).

Pershing remained silent and this became more and more aware to the people that he wasn’t interested. The Washington Post later came out with a statement from Pershing that he had made his stand, in April Pershing made his candidacy, this came at a cost for Pershing. The election was less than seven months away and even though the Republicans determinedly pushing his position to the people, it was looked at as a little to late, the damage has already been done. As the National Convention met in Chicago in June to nominate the winning candidate, they turned to Ohio Senator, Warren G. Harding and Pershing lost. There had been rumblings that he would have had a chance again if Pershing would turn to the Democratic Party, but Pershing decided to get out of the political world. Pershing later went on in his career to write a Pulitzer Prize winning memoir, sat in on many committees, and assisted with the planning of the initial layout of the interstate highway system.

Fanta, B.
Why Studying the leader is important today

The importance of leadership is what build a cohesion of a team, it helps to build the team moral, gives way to education and improving of skills, and improves the performance of employees. The studying of leadership helps with finding new strategies from the past and learning new ways to go in the future. An important part of leadership is holding meeting with your team, this might seem like a step that isn’t needed, but it has shown through history that it gives the team support and showing that you’re available which is essential for your team. “If your business commits to developing its leaders, you can expect to gain a significant competitive advantage by improving the bottom line; attracting, developing, and retaining talent; driving strategy execution; and increasing your success when navigating change” CFCL. (2022, February 1). Leadership is a role that is taking individuals and helping them succeed into having better opportunities and reach their goals. The study of leadership is showing how and why it relays back to the culture and setting this environment through setting a set of respect and ethics.

CFCL.

These include indemnification, limit of liability, copyright, use restrictions, and more. Agency best practice: Agencies should assign you a dedicated account manager who knows everything there is to know about your account. Client best practice:Give one person (and the right person) the responsibility of managing the agency relationship and approvals. It’s important to remember that both parties – the client and the agency – play a crucial role in a successful relationship. And the best partnerships have complete transparency on both sides. Be upfront about things like your agency’s approach and compensation arrangement. Meanwhile, clients should be candid about their objectives and budgets.
