1) US. 2) US. This is most likely because the United States is one of the easiest countries to become an entrepreneur and create a successful business in. This is both due to the healthy economic environment and the individualistic culture in the US that supports entrepreneurship.

Because lack of training and education in their specific country due to the countries lack of development, such as South Africa or Mexico. Not only this, but also due to people not being very socially mobile up and down the economic and social ladder.

The United States probably has the most billionaires and has seen the most YTD increase because it is the largest economy in the world, is a developed capitalist economy, and has a large capital market. It is also strong in the technology field, with a lot of innovative companies such as Tesla, Oracle, Meta, Amazon, Google having their leaders in the top 5 billionaires.

Some countries are absent or rare in the leaderboard because they lack globally large companies, or a strong economy. They may also not have a developed capital market, meaning that shareholders' net worth may not inflate as much. Some other countries including wealthy ones may be lacking from the list due to higher tax rates and a more socialist leaning policy.
