Lets say someone has never told a lie in his life and he finally  tells a lie that he didn't steal the cookies, and his mom would believe him. But lets say that there is this kid that lies about everything and he says that he didn't steal the cookies his mom would think that he did steal the cookies and he would be punished harshly. First Eddie gave back the phone and JD was forced to give the phone back. Second it is JD's third offence. He has already been in trouble by the law and not gone to jail. Eddie on the other hand has only his first offense. This is his only mistake with them, so he shouldn't be sent to jail. J.D has proved he cannot be trusted. We think that Eddie should get a punishment such as parole or a short time in prison, but he shouldn't just be able to get off the hook. 
J.D should get a chance for parole or a few years in prison, but he shouldn't get off the hook either.

This is Eddie's first offence, and he shouldn't be put in jail. The Three Strikes law still applies, and J.D. should be put in jail... but I think that one year is too much. Eddie should get a warning, due to this being his first offence.
