         <description><![CDATA[<div>-In 1100 B.C.E Zhou over threw Shang and became the rulers.<br>-Mandate of heaven was a concept that the spiritual power, heaven, is related to events that occur in real life.<br>-Zhou said that Shang no longer had the mandate of heaven, which is why Shang was overthrown.<br>-Mandate of heaven was taken away from old rulers and given to the new rulers.<br>-Zhou slowly weakened and collapsed.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Very influential, put in important aspects of Chinese civilization.<br>-Lasted from 400-200 B.C.E<br>-Confucius was a teacher of ethical and political ideas that were contained in Analects.<br>-Confucianism believed that the rulers needed to be superior and qualified, the citizens must listen and obey the ruler.<br>-The ruler must act like a role model citizen.<br>-Laouzi made an alternative to Confucianism called Daoism.<br>- Daoism believes in finding the Dao(a concept that defies explanation)<br>-Daouism was more focused on having a relationship with nature than other humans.<br>-Legalism believed that nature was irrelavant.<br>-Legalism believed strongly in rules.<br>-Legalism believed in making their state strong and stable (Agriculture and military only).<br>-Ended when Quin centralized power and destroyed regional opposition.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Lasted 14 years.<br>-Quin created bureaucracy.<br>-In Bureaucracy your social class is not dependent of your wealth or ownership.<br>-The emperor would grant you to a certain amount of power.<br>-Quin built essential pieces to a stable civilization.<br>-They created a standard currency and a standard language.<br>-There was harsh legalism and because of the harsh legalism, when the Emperor died citizens revolted and killed the remaining Quin officials.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-200 B.C.E to 200 C.E.<br>-Emperor was Han Wudi.<br>-The Han officially adopted Confucianism into their culture.<br>-The Han took over lots of land and gathered more and more information on Confucianism.<br>-Had lots of artisans.<br>-Farmed lots of crops.<br>-Used the surplus of crops to gain wealth.<br>-By trading so much, the Han created tension that internally weakened them.<br>-The internal weakness lead to the collapse and downfall of the Han.<br><br></div>]]></description>
