This may be because they have&nbsp;difficulty saying what they want to, understanding what is being said to them, or they&nbsp;do not understand or use social rules of communication. The profile for every child&nbsp;with SLCN is different and their needs may change over time.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Children with ASD (Aspergers &amp; autism etc) have difficulties with social interaction and this can also include language difficulties as well as imagination impact.&nbsp;<br><br>Difficulties forming relationships &amp; friendships&nbsp;and making the relationships they do form last<br><br>Some children may be non-verbal and unable to communicate the same way as others. Other people will need to adapt and learn how to communicate with these children so they aren’t left out.&nbsp;<br><br>EAL - can’t always communicate well - this doesn’t always mean they have SEN/D<br><br>Look at all aspects of a child’s performance, not just their communication<br><br>A range of difficulties linked to speech and language - phonology, stammer, poor vocabulary, immature speech, selective mutism <br><br></div>]]></description>
