This is Alice, one of the fifth graders you met with yesterday. I wanted to thank you for talking time out of your day and spending it with us, the CEE community. I learned so much from yesterday because I had never heard of the Japanese internment camps at all before you came. I'm very happy and grateful that you came because you informed me so much, and inspired me to do something about Asian hate. I have long hear about the racism to Asians, but I thought it only came up because of COVID-19. Once again, thank you for all you did for me and for my class–informed us, answered our questions, and inspired us. I can assure you that every person in that room felt very touched and inspired to learn more and do something about the racism. You've motivated me to do more, and I am very grateful that you came. I think it is so cool that in hard times like the internment camps, it really forces people to come together. I liked how in your presentation you talked a lot about multiple things and not just about how hard life was in the internment camps.
