The tiny sapling of Veda Vyasa D.A.V Public School was planted on 7th February 1982 with 400 leaves on its delicate branch. The tender plant under the supervision of luminaries of D.A.V Management, nourished by the incessant efforts of the dynamic Principal Ms. Chitra Nakra and her team of devoted teachers is now a resplendent tree.

Festivals not only fill our lives with happiness but also acquaint us with our rich cultural heritage.On 8th August 2014, the Community Outreach Club (class XI-E) celebrated Rakshabandhan with the little cherubs of the Aakanksha centre of the school. The girls tied Rakhis on the wrists of the boys while the boys in turn gave friendship bands to the girls. The Rakhis were tied with proper rituals with the Tilak and sweets. The principal and Incharges also blessed them by celebrating the occasion with them.

The Kindergarten of the school is a small heaven illuminated with the radiance and the beauty of the twinkling starts who enter the portals fo the institution with dreams in their eyes and wishes in their heart. The children are introduced to a gamut of activities that develop the physical, cognitive, emotional, social and aesthetic skills.

Hello again Team!

Welcome back to school; we hope your vacation was filled with family time and rest. We are very ready to get started with researching and the site. I'm not sure if you saw my post from Dec. 31 about an idea to get students started with research.

We are waiting to hear from you so students from India and USA can share ideas and decide together what information should be included and how the information should be presented. We can't wait to begin our collaborative research!

We are also wondering if it would be a good idea for students working in groups on topics to share a Google Doc (settings set @ 'anyone with the link can view'). This idea might work well for our 12-hour delay in communication and will allow students to make comments and share ideas without making a LONG stream of posts here on Edmodo.

Again these are just thoughts. We welcome your ideas as well!
