This book is about a father and daughter who go out to go owling. They walk out into the woods late at night. They have to be very quiet so they don't scare any owls away. The father makes owl calls to try to get a call back from an owl so they know where to look. After many tries they hear back from an owl, they shine their flashlight at it and get to see it for a few minutes. After the successful owl hunt, they walk home satisfied.
