January 19th, 2018: Anna Garcia reports Erica Piedmont missing.

January 20th, 2018: Alex Garcia and Erica Piedmont listed as suspects in a larceny case.

Night before the murder: Erica Piedmont and Alex Garcia stay at the Motel 6 on 56 Hotel Dr., and had driven there in a red Chevrolet Cobalt registered to Anna Garcia. At the hotel, they stole bed linens from room #317. Statements from the clerk that night suggest Erica asked to borrow a large luggage rolling cart, but was refused it. She stole it  anyways and was later confronted.

Day the homicide is discovered, 6:53 AM:
Doug Greene discovers what he believes to be a body behind the dumpster of his business, located at 1234 Main Street and Hickory Hill Apartments
He calls first respondents and police are dispatched to the scene. After officers observed the body wrapped in black plastic, homicide detectives, crime scene investigators, and medical examiners were dispatched to the scene as well. 

9:45-9:56 AM:
The body is discovered and EMT's arrive on the scene. Lividity and rigor mortis are observed on the victim. The temperature outside was 92*F and 73*F inside Anna's house.

Same day, 2:30 PM:
Garbage bags that had been emptied by sanitation service were collected by crime scene investigators.

Continued Investigation:
After it's examined that Anna Garcia had been beaten in the head and stabbed in the chest, tattoos were also discovered. William Peterson was called to help identify Anna Garcia, and confirmed she had tattoos that matched that of the deceased victim.

A search warrant was obtained for Anna Garcia's apartment, and in addition to other evidence, blood and RX pill bottles were discovered in there as well.

Anna Garcia had a bad relationship with Alex Garcia. However, previous to the visit William Peterson paid her in August, she had a one night stand with Alex Garcia. Alex Garcia was already in a relationship with Erica Piedmont, and when Erica and William discovered the one night stand, tensions were built. Alex and Erica had been involved in crimes before, but both had personality disorders and wanted to try to do something bigger. Murder had been on their minds, but they both thought it was too out of reach. A trip to her step-mother's apartment led Erica to suspect Anna was pregnant, because she was taking more pills than usual, and she was having morning sickness frequently. After talking to Anna's best friend Lucy, Erica confirmed her suspicions. After bringing this up to Alex, Alex had become furious at Anna because Anna had claimed to be on birth control. However, because of Anna's diabetes, her nosocomial infection at the time, and her heart problems; birth control was unhealthy for her to take. Alex and Erica decided that Anna needed to be killed to prevent the baby from being born and causing too many problems. The day of the murder, Anna skipped taking her ACE inhibitor and Lipitor, but she had taken a couple Aspirin to ease her morning sickness (hence the discovered puke on her clothes). Later that day, Alex and Erica travelled to a Walmart to steal some supplies for the big night. At around dusk, Erica called to tell Anna they would be coming over to visit. Anna, fearing Erica lately because of the knife that had been pulled on her in a store, decided her usual 3 daily glasses of wine wouldn't make the cut. Her business partner, Doug Greene, had recently introduced her into much harder drugs. Anna injected herself with Heroin to make Erica's visit easier. After their arrival, Alex got into a heated argument with Anna about the baby which ended in Alex giving Anna a blow to the head with a bat. Anna fought back, only to be met by a rope with which Erica Garcia strangled her with. Anna clawed and attacked the best she could (which caused her to lose fingernails), but with her weak heart, the lack of oxygen quickly caused her to pass out. Her unconsciousness was also fueled by a lack of energy which resulted from Anna forgetting to pump her insulin this morning. Upon falling unconscious, Erica quickly removed the rope but was concerned that the baby wasn't dead yet as well. To make sure this was no longer a worry of hers, Erica stabbed Anna Garcia multiple times in the stomach, killing what used to be a baby. Scared they would get caught if they left her there, they quickly grabbed trash bags from the kitchen to wrap up the body. They trashed her apartment in the process, knocking over pill bottles and such. They stole Anna's car and travelled over to the nearest Motel 6, paying for the cheapest room. Erica asked a desk clerk if she could use a large luggage rolling cart, but was refused it. Instead, she stole it and used it herself. After using stain remover to clean up their clothes, Alex and Erica stole bed linens from their room to further wrap up Anna's lifeless body. They snuck out of the back of the Motel 6 with the body wrapped up and shoved it back in the car. The two murderers then travelled to the nearest dumpster, which was behind Doug Greene's laundry business. After shoving the rest of their trash into the dumpster along with Anna, they threw away their shoes for good measure. The couple then fled to California because they knew they would have family to stay with, and they have not been seen since.
