On Wednesday evening a funicular train, a type of railway that travels up and down slopes derailed and crashed in Portuguese capital of Lisbon. At least 16 people were hurt and injured. Eyewitnesses seen that one of the two railway cars derailed and slide down the street until hitting a building. One witness named Bruno said it was "completely out of control."

At the beginning of the game, the Eagles' upcoming star, Jalen Carter, was face-to-face with the Cowboys' quarterback, Dak Prescott. During this exchange of words, Jalen proceeded to spit on Dak. In the press conference after the game, Jalen stated, "I'm doing it for them. Doing it for my family, also, but fans show the most love. It won't happen again. I've already made that promise." As a result of his actions, Carter was fined over $17,000.
