Yes, I do relate because I also experienced being ignored or not heard while my friends or family are using an electronic. I think the main character almost feels the same way and thinks everyone one is glued to their phone and always try to capture the moments instead of living in it and she seems like she is tired of that. Some concerns this video bring up to me was our generation is the most glued one I would say and i feel like each generation its gonna get worse, which scares me because i know how much we replaced human work to technology and our screen times on our electronics. The video relates to the book we are currently reading because in the book it was predicted that society would be glued to technology distracting them from thinking and questioning the world.

I have also noticed myself doing that to other people.

2) I think the main character in the video was feeling unseen and forgotten by everyone.

4) This relates to Fahrenheit 451 because the people also are only concerned with their devises and not the world around them. In both the book and now people are not living in the moment.

I think she would wish that people would pay attention to her talking and not just there phone.

.I can relate to this because whenever i try to talk to my sister i find that she is always looking at her phone and not actually at me. Sometimes i do it when I'm trying to focus on something. I usually do it at school because i like to get work done early so i start when the teacher is talking

.This relates to the book because everyone is glued to there tv screens and not the actual world around them. Everyone would rather put there seashells in and look at the tv screen all day instead of exploring outside and being curious.

By looking at her expressions during the video she looked annoyed and sod because everyone she hung out with was always on there phones.

4 what i think that relates in the video and book is that everyone in the video was on there phones not socializing

Like in 451 also having there sea shells on and not talking to anybody besides who they work with.

4. This relates to what we have read in Fahrenheit 451 because of the technology involved within this video and the story. For example: in the story, Mildred asks to buy another wall full of the television screens which shows how much people have come to rely on technology and not their own thoughts similarly to how the video shows people being glued to their phones.

1. I can relate to this video because I have had times where my friends straight up ignore me whenever I try and tell them something urgent such as a conflict in a club or that I can’t hang out with them over the weekend anymore due to them being really involved within the technology in front of them.

3. Some concerns that have been brought to me from this

video consisted of multiple questions and emotions I have felt. One example of this, “How does technology impact us as humans?” Now, why I ask this question is because I believe we are starting to lose intelligence as humans as many of older resources, such as books, have been disappearing and not been read by anyone for years on end.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE MAIN CHARACTER IS FEELING IN THIS VIDEO?

I believe the main character is feeling like she’s not important. She wants to live in the moment but everyone around her is on their phones and not paying attention to anything. She sees incredible moments such as someone getting proposed to and she goes on a hike with her boyfriend but they are just on their phones not enjoying the special moments. When she is talking people are on their phones not paying attention to what she is saying and that can make her feel looked passed and not important.

CAN YOU RELATE TO THIS VIDEO? HOW SO?

I can relate to this videos on both sides. I am always on my phone and catch myself not living in the moment with my friends and family. I find myself always trying to capture moments rather than actually watching them and having fun. I can also relate to the girl because I often feel like no one is listening when their phone is in their hand. Sometimes, I want to do something while my friends are over at my house but they never want to do it because they’d rather lie down and watch their phone. It makes me feel like im not as important.

HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO WHAT WE HAVE READ IN FAHRENHEIT 451 SO FAR?

This can relate to it in many ways but something that sticks out to me is in Fahrenheit 451 no one thinks for themselves. In our world, our phones think for us. We kind of live through our phones rather than being in the moment. Especially in school. Students don't learn much anymore because they know they have things on their phone to think for them and give them the answer. That’s how I believe this can relate to Fahrenheit 451.

I can sometimes relate to this video because when I’m on my phone, I’m not paying attention to the things around me, I miss out on things and learning opportunities. That is half of me, the rest is observation, so I do a lot of both being on my phone, and observing. Sometimes when I’m out walking, I have my headphones on, listening to music or other things, but near the end of it, I like to take them off and listen to the sounds, to feel the wind, and to cross the street safely.

In one part of the video, the main character is sitting at a table with what I assume to be friends. She is talking, but everybody except for her is on their phones, she notices, stops talking, and then seems upset which is very reasonable because nobody is listening to her. When she is laying down with her partner, he’s not paying attention to her, straight from waking up to his phone, even when they are both in bed. The main character turns off the lights to sleep, and immediately, her partner turns on his phone, not caring, not even bothering to turn down the brightness. I think the main character feels upset and ignored.

My thoughts and concerns link towards what would be of us in the future, the way this generation may raise whatever children they might have, and the way society influences all of us is what is going to shape our future. A lot of people don’t care, we love devices, and distractions, so people might not be willing to do anything about it.

This relates to what we’ve read in Fahrenheit 451 because in that world, nobody pays attention. Everybody is so consumed in their devices that they don’t bother to pay attention. Montag’s wife has those ‘seashells’ in her ear so often that she’s learned to lip read so that she doesn’t have to take them out.

A thought that comes to mind as I watched this video is “do I do that? Am I making some of my friends feel left out?.” This concerns me because I like talking to my friends and having them around and I don’t want my phone being the reason we stop being friends. This relates to Fahrenheit 451 because when Montag’s wife says they should buy a fourth TV wall, she doesn’t listen when he explains why they can’t do that because that’s a third of his paycheck.

A concern the video brings to me is that soon our society will forget how to experience to live without a phone. I think the main character is feeling isolated and alone even when she is with her friends, because no matter the situation, everyone was on their phone, as well as no one being socially aware. This can relate to Fahrenheit 451 by people being glued to newer technology and not living in the moment. In Fahrenheit 451 they also don’t question everything out of the ordinary, like how in the short film it shows that a bad habit (being on your phone 24/7) is completely normal, and in the book something similar to this is how everyone walks around with the seashell radios in all the time.

The main character in the video definitely feels left out. Maybe not even that, just ignored. There is a difference between people actively listening and just listening. She probably feels alone.

What concerns me about the video is that it is a normal occurrence. Every where you go, people will have phones. But, I don’t think it’s the peoples fault, the use of devices in public is normalized. My concern is how it might affect children whose parents may not be “present” or even their relationship with technology.

For me it relates to Fahrenheit 451 with the theme of technology controlling the way others perceive us. People now, will be able to tell the kind of person you are just through social media. Compared with the book, saying the more screens the higher the status.

I can relate to this video a lot as someone who tries to stay off of my phone more often. I always see people completely zoning out on what is going on around them and i believe it’s very odd. I notice this especially when I’m hanging out with friends or going out to dinner with my family. Everyone is always on their phones, which I think defeats the entire purpose of going out to be with people.

The main character probably has a moment of realization in this video where she notices how little everyone is actually paying attention to their surroundings and instead they are glued to their phones. She could also feel very disappointed because of everyone ignoring her or being completely out of the moment.

This related to Fahrenheit 451 because in the book everyone zooms fast everything without ever actually paying attention to their surroundings. This becomes very easy to realize when Clarisse, i hope i spelled this correctly, asks if the main character ever noticed the small things in the world.

This causes kids to not get their work or homework done due to being glued to their phone. They’re also missing things that happening around them in life and interesting things because they are stuck on their phones 24/7.

This relates to Fahrenheit 451 because of the technology used to make the Hound. They most likely were always on iPads, phones, or computers to make this robotic dog. They are also using technology to make a dog to kill people, instead of just having a normal dog in the firehouse.

I can and cannot relate to the video, somedays i am completely engulfed in my tablet building something, or im just forever doom scrolling on my phone, just forgetting the world around me when I could be spending that precious time with my 1 yr old cats, when i do its only for a moment before i go back to the internet and i am constantly trying to break free from the weighted chains of the interweb. But other days i just dont want my devices knowing that i will be stuck in a loop of doom scrolling, whenever im in the car i love to just watch the world around me no matter how many times I’ve seen it because it always seems as if there’s something new, or I recognize certain things, like the bakery, or the slug bug blue that me and my dad race to call out for, its those moments of joy like those that keep me watching the world around me.

My thoughts about the video is how accurate this is to the world we inhabit now. We spend so much time on a digital reality that the actual reality we have is rotting away because we aren’t taking care of it, my concerns is with all the AI stuff going around out devices will increase while our brain development stumps like plants that dont have the materials to grow.

This relates to Fahrenheit 451 because they are so engulfed in having parlor walls so they can do nothing was watch the world they want while the world that holds them so close is rotting away

Some concerns that this video brought me is that, everyone is so stuck on being on there phones all day, that we are going to miss important things at are going on around us and could lead to no one wanting to socialize with anyone else.

I think this character was feeling left out and unheard, because while she was trying to talk to her friends it seemed like they where ignoring her, and there phones seemed more important then what she had to say.

This relates to what we have read in Fahrenheit 451 because in the book no one is allowed to take a walk and observe what is around them and if they do they can go to jail for it. And in the video they are basically doing that, everyone was so stuck on there phones they didn’t even notice that the girl was talking or saw that she was feeling left out.
