Growing Our Church -- Ad hoc committee to work on outreach

Process:

Hold initial zoom meeting for brainstorming

Use When2Meet to schedule Zoom meeting

Set up a way to share ideas. Padlet? Google box?

Ideas:

Instagram (aesthetic photos, 10-15 shots/week, tag locations, lots of hash tags

Single page brochure or card

Advertise an event, i.e., gathering after Crop Walk.

Approach neighbors about a sign on Sunnyside corner. Done

Visit neighbors.

Find out more about UNR opportunities.

Share information with LBGTQ community.

Choir is a draw for people who like to sing.

I would like some help in putting together a flier to the LGBTQ community, which can then be posted on a special bulletin board in Our Center at 1745 S Wells AveWhen this flier is completed, it needs to convey to the LGBTQ community, that FCC Reno is a very open and affirming church, that FCC Reno is a SAFE PLACE for them to come and worship in. We need to convey that FCC Reno is the second oldest established church in Reno, dating back more than 150 years ago, possibly even a small map at the bottom of the flier showing our location, times of worship, and possibly even whom to contact..
