As the robot is filling its backpack with scraps it finds itself in completion with a cute little animal. They have a tug of war over good piece of scrap where the cute animal wins.

Act 2:
Robot returns home to assemble scrap metal... as it does the rain starts to pour. He looks our at the rain and sees the cute animal who is now stranded on the piece of metal he won earlier in the middle of a large puddle. The robot turns away resentfully. But then turns around looking at the animal and feeling guilt/concern. 

Robot puts his hand out from under his shelter. The rain hits his hand and sparks fly. The rain has damaged his hand and he pulls it in quickly. 

Act 3:
After a moment of hesitation he decides he want to save the animal. Despite the risks to it's function the robot ventures out across the land towards to the animal. The rain bounces off his metal body. After navigating over some obstacles it reaches the animal. 

The robot scoops up the animal in its robot hands. it heard back towards shelter. But as it goes the rain creates more damage and bits of metal from from his body and sparks fly.

The music reaches the highest point as the robot put the animal back inside its shelter. The animal is saved but as this happens the light in the robots eyes fade and go out.

Fades to black and credits.

Post credit scene: 
We see the robots head in the robot shelter. Camera zooms out to reveal cute animal working with tools and wires... Robots eyes flicker back on and start to emit light again.
