Fear of another war
The fear of another war lead to the policy of appeasement due to a couple of reasons. Firstly is due to the tremendous losses cause by ww1. The loss of lives, resources and the impact of their economies which was caused by ww1 was tremendous. Britain and France simply could not afford to prepare for another war of a similar scale. Secondly, Is due to the lack of public support. Everyone had saw the horrors cause by ww1. Thus, most were not interested in another world war. Especially with the policians who needs to gain support frm the public, they themselves would feel that it is important to avoid war at all costs.
