This period was also the introduction of iron and modern ideas like pottery.

After the defeat of the imperial army in Kyoto, Kamakura had gained full control of Japan. The new leader gave land back to the citizens wich in turn gave loyalty amongst all the powerful  people.

In 1867-1168 the Tokugawa era found an end in the Meiji Restoration. Shortly after this the Emperor Meiji was moved from Kyoto to Tokyo which then became the new capital of japan. The Imperial power was restored for him.
