Why have we chosen this story and resources?

We have chosen this story to introduce the students of 4th grade to one of the classics from the Grimm brothers and to its characters.

With this bank of resources we want to develop the child's interest in reading as well as to develop listening and comprehension skills and to improve pronunciation and production through role-play.

We also want the children to understand literature as a way of learning and to stimulate the students creativity and imagination.
