How I got these answers is I did A = bh for the square / rectangle and multi plaid 15*12 and  got 180.  For the half triangle I did A = 1/2 (bh) I multiplied 7 * 12 and got 84 and then I did 2 divided by 84 and got 42 cm sq. To explain my answer I started with the triangle part first the length is 12 and the width is 7 and I also noticed it is a right angle and I know the formula for how to find a triangle is b times height 1/2 So what I did was 12 times 7 and that gets you 84 and divide that by 2 you get 42. And then for the square part you can do 15 times 12 and you would get 180. The last step we would have to do to get our final answer is  180 + 42 and in total that would get us 222.
