This is my second year in the role, and my previous position was on the admissions team at St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia (where our wonderful facilitator Jennifer Cullinan serves as Director of Admissions). My name is Jennifer Cullinan and I am the Director of Admissions at St. Catherine's.  I'm actually the Director of Enrollment, Admissions & Auxiliary Programs, but that is a  mouthful!  St. Catherine's is a preschool (age 3) to grade 12 school in Richmond, Virginia.

I've been involved in the Headways Program at least twice as a participant and have really enjoyed learning with and from colleagues from around the globe.  I've also made some great friends along the way! I'm excited that this opportunity to facilitate has allowed me to stay connected to Jean Baker from NCGS as she is a fellow Saint and a former St. Catherine's team member.

Two words that I hold near to my heart for the start of the school year are patience and flexibility. This is my 6th year in admissions. Baldwin is a PK-12 school for day students with approx 575 students. We are a small school and like it that way! Our students are delighted to be back in school despite all the restrictions, they are as eager to learn as ever! 

Our whole school is embracing the flexibility mantra this year but I am always approaching my role with the question, what is best for this family? This year, this is more important than ever since we are closed to visitors.

I have been at HB for eight years, initially doing 5-8 Admission and now doing K-8 for two years. We are all-girls K-12 with a co-ed Infant and Toddler and Early Childhood program. We have 675 girls in grades K-12 and our Primary (K-4) and Middle (5-8) are fully in-person with a family choice of a remote option. Our Upper School division is hybrid with remote for all on Monday and then two cohorts that alternate in person/remote each week so only 50% of the student body is here at a time. 

The words I would choose to describe the start of the year is different, flexible and still busy! Doing all virtual tours, figuring out virtual visits, just so many moving parts. Looking forward to connecting
