Dramatic Irony-Is when the character has no clue what is going on but as the reader or audience member you are aware.
Situational Irony- Is when you try to predict whats going to happen and the opposite happens.

Dramatic : Jane spilling her coffee on herself on her first day of work. " Just Great" while patting the coffee off her clothes

Situational: when something or someone expecting one thing to happen and the opposite happens. 

Dramatic: the audience knows what is going on/happening but the character(s) don't.

Examples:
Situational: A fire station burns down. 

This is considered situational irony because the fire station puts out fires and they themselves are on fire.

Verbal: Soft as a brick.

This is considered verbal irony because you usually say or know that brick is hard, but whoever is saying it has a different meaning or feeling.

Dramatic: 
A character walks into a house where the killer is and they do not know, but the audience knows.

This is considered dramatic because we know what the characters don't and it builds a suspense along with it.

Ex a man behind a door that the audience knows that they are they but the characters don't know

Ex a man in a picture that's moving to grab a person and the audience sees that is about to happen but the character has no idea what's about to happen 

Ex a trap that a villain set up that the audience saw the person put it up and the person about to walk into it has no idea

Situational irony-opposite of what u thought was going to happen 

Ex a mountain biker that always finishes first finishes dead last

Ex a runner that number 1 in first race but nice race finishes last

Ex nascar driver that's known for winning 3 years in a row but finishes in 10 place this year
