The Power and Importance of Quitting

Reasons why quitting is good for you

One importance is to save time, most of us are so naturally inclined to finish things that even if we’re watching a terrible movie, or reading a badly written article, we still continue to read it. If we choose to quit reading or watching something that can save us time to do more important things.

Another importance is for your mental state, it is sometimes better to quit on a project that you messed up and restart then to continue.

The last importance of quitting is to know when you are beaten, when you find yourself in an argument it is easier to just say “I was wrong” or just knowing that nothing you say or do can change the other persons mind.

The author entertained the reader by using examples that most people can relate to like, watching a terrible movie or reading a badly written article.
The author persuaded the reader by pulling you in and make it sound like the author is talking straight to the reader, the author also uses facts that relate to the reader making them want to read more.
The main idea of the article The Power and Importance of Quitting is for people to learn when to know when to quit, people need to know how they can better their and other peoples lives, just by knowing when to quit. People need to know when to leave things unfinished, and admit defeat.

When we started playing I looked good, but not great. There was more than 60 kids there from all over Indiana. This meant that i had to play better than all of them in order to make the team. I was working very harder and playing great and therefore I made the state team.
