         <description><![CDATA[<p><em>Student uploads photo of athletes posture/positioning</em></p><p>Age: 16-Year-Old </p><p>Sport: Basketball</p><p>Mechanism of Injury(MOI): Dove for a ball, felt imediate pain in shoulder, difficulty shooting.</p><p>Subjective: Pain is 4/10, aching with sharp pain with movement. Anterior and Lateral Shoulder. Pain in overhead(OH) motions and shooting position. Applying ice with arm at side.          <description><![CDATA[<p><em>Students will provide videos of exercises and evaluations</em></p><p><br/></p><p>Price Protocol</p><p>P-Protect(Avoid OH Activities)</p><p>R-Rest(No basketball activites)</p><p>I-Ice for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours</p><p>C- Elastic Wrap</p><p>E-Elevation(Sleep with arm elevated on pillow)</p><p><br/></p><p>Phase 1:</p><p>Pendulum exercises</p><p>Pain Free ROM only</p><p>Anti-Inflammatory as needed(Physician approval)</p><p>Activitty Modification</p><p><br/></p><p>Phase 2:</p><p>Progressive Stretching Program:</p><p>        Wall Slides 2 sets of 10, 2x daily</p><p>        Cross Body Stretches: Hold 30 seconds, 3x Daily</p><p>        Doorway Stretches: Hold 30 seconds, 3x Daily</p><p>Heat before stretching, ice after</p><p><br/></p><p>Phase 3:</p><p>Begin when pain free ROM is greater than 120 degrees</p><p>Isometrics then progress to resistance</p><p>Sport Specific movements</p><p><br/></p><p>Return to Play Checklist:</p><p>Pain free movement on injured side</p><p>Strength ar 90% Baseline</p><p>Can perform sport specific movement pain free</p><p>Physician clearance if symptoms do not occur over 1 week.</p>]]></description>
