The Dakota Access Pipeline is a 1,172 mile pipeline that connects the oil-rich areas, ranging from North Dakota to Illinois. The crude oil it produces transports to refineries to the Gulf Coast and or the East Coast and it stretches from the Bakken Formation(An oil-rich,vast underground deposit located where Montana and North Dakota meet Canada, which is Southeast into South Dakota,Iowa, and Illinois). When it is complete,it will transport 470,000 barrels of crude oil a day. It is being protested,in full part,by many helpful volunteers who have come to support,as well as members of The Standing Rock Sioux Indian tribe, who speak that the pipeline "threatens the tribe's environmental and economic well-being,and would damage and destroy sites of great historic, religious, and cultural significance to the tribe."

The views on the construction of the Dakota Pipeline is split into two:One side being the people who are protesting against it,such as the members of Standing Rock Sioux Indian tribe, who believe that the pipeline will "destroy our burial sites, prayer sites and culturally significant artifacts."They also have pointed out environmental concerns, such as possible contamination due to breaches and eventual greenhouse gas emissions. On the other side is the prime developer of the Pipeline:Energy Transfer Partners. They believe that the Pipeline would not just be an economic boon,it would also significantly decrease U.S. reliance on foreign oil. They say it will also help free up railways to transport "crops and other commodities currently constrained by crude oil cargos."

The Dakota Access Pipeline will destroy half of everyone who are against it and benefit those who are making the wrong choice to build it and contribute to the destruction. While there are many several cons in the issue, there are a select few pros to it,such as it not being just an economic boon, but it would end up being able to significantly decrease the U.S. reliance on foreign oil from others. As for cons on the issue, there is the matter of there being(in every case of oil reserves)"environmental concerns, including possible contamination due to breaches and eventual greenhouse gas emissions to occur when happened."The side of cons had come,in part, from the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and the many helpful volunteers who have come in rally against the pipeline's construction.

To conclude,do i believe in the Dakota Access Pipeline? The answer to that would be a no,because it is really sad and heartbreaking to think about what the Pipeline is going to do when it is complete. It will destroy burial and prayer sites that are held as being historically and culturally significant to the Standing Rock Sioux indian tribe, whom live on the land where the Pipeline is to be built. Also important to note is that,in the middle of the argument against another pipeline(The Keystone XL Pipeline) that involved two political figures(One new and one former):Donald Trump and his administration/Barack Obama and his administration. The differing views are truly ironic, because the opposing sides hold in account for one side being one that dreams of the destruction of important property, while the other is one that dreams of halting construction and not destroying land.So,all-in-all,whether it be the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline or of the Keystone XL Pipeline, the idea of constructing something as dangerous as a pipeline will split everyone into two(Good and Bad)and, furthermore,i would side with the good in order to fight the good fight.
