To my future students, I want to be more than just a teacher—I want to be someone who believes in them. I want to be the kind of teacher who makes them feel safe, valued, and capable of great things.

I want my students to know that their voices matter, that they belong, and that they are not alone in their journey. I will guide them, support them, and push them to be their best, even when they doubt themselves.

Most of all, I want them to leave my class knowing they are strong, worthy, and full of potential.

Feelings:
I felt sad for Bogarth because he didn’t feel loved by his own family. It made me think how hard it must be to grow up feeling alone. But I also felt hope and happiness when he met James. Their friendship made Bogarth stronger. In the end, I felt inspired by his courage and change.

Learnings:
I learned that even if people treat you badly, it doesn’t mean you are not important. Everyone has value. Bogarth showed that you can be strong even when life is hard. I also learned that love and kindness are very powerful. Sometimes, one kind person can change your life.

Discoveries:
I discovered that some people go through really hard times, even in their own families. I discovered that being brave is not about having a perfect body, but about having a strong heart. I also saw that we can find strength by talking to others and learning from their stories.

Arnold Balais shows us that having a disability doesn’t mean you can’t do great things. Even after losing one of his legs, he worked hard and followed his dreams. He became an athlete and even climbed Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines. That’s something many people with two legs haven’t done!

His story teaches us that when life gives us problems, we don’t have to give up. Instead, we can be strong, work hard, and still do amazing things. Arnold didn’t let his disability stop him. He used it as a way to inspire others.

He also helps other people with disabilities by making prosthetic legs and giving talks. This shows that true strength isn’t just about what we can do for ourselves—it’s also about helping others.

She was a kind and smart doctor who helped many children. She was the first woman to study at Harvard Medical School in the U.S. She built the first hospital for children in the Philippines. When poor families didn’t have much money or tools, she even made a baby incubator using bamboo to help newborns stay warm. She worked hard all her life to take care of others. That’s why many people call her a genius and a hero.

Implication of SDG 4 and SDG 10 to Inclusive Education

SDG 4: Quality Education This goal wants everyone to get a good education, no matter who they are. It supports inclusive education by making sure all children—rich or poor, with or without disabilities—can go to school and learn together. SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities This goal is about treating everyone fairly and giving equal chances to succeed. In education, it means helping students who are often left out because of poverty, disabilities, or discrimination. They help inclusive education by making schools open to all learners. Support students who need extra help. Train teachers to be more understanding and inclusive. Create a school environment where everyone feels they belong. Together, SDG 4 and SDG 10 help build a world where no student is left behind.

1. Wheelchair Ramp A wheelchair ramp is a sloped path that helps students who use wheelchairs or have trouble walking to enter and move around the school. It makes sure everyone can access classrooms, restrooms, and other areas without difficulty. Ramps promote independence and equal participation. 2. Braille Books Braille books are specially made with raised dots that students who are blind or have low vision can read using their fingers. These books allow them to learn the same lessons as their classmates and join in class activities confidently.

“Hapag ng Pag-asa” by Joey Velasco shows Jesus eating with poor Filipino children. It teaches us that Jesus is close to the poor and suffering, and that we should care for others, especially those in need. This painting helped me realize that Every person matters, no matter how poor they are. We are called to share, serve, and love those who are often forgotten. Real hope starts when we open our hearts and hands to help others. It reminds us to live like Jesus—with compassion, kindness, and hope.
