Especially with technology and applications. The more we try to "input" technology and digital applications into the syllabus we have to take time to frontload and provide instructions which sometimes gets in the way of the intent of the work. Be mindful that less is more - find a way to package the steps to simplify it when explaining it to your participants.  Help them make connections to processes they know and understand.  (i.e. eBinder - One Note is like a binder and Google is like a webpage/portfolio). Encourage them to revisit the Canvas course often after the three days to process deeper.

Tell them to take notes in the way they are most comfortable doing it digitally. 

Tell them not to worry about using the ebinder this week.  They can play with it later when they have more time. 

Tell them what AVID is and how it works. Seriously, be explicit and make them write it down. 

Tell them to choose at 3-4 tools or ideas they want to implement after the go back. It is important so they don't get stuck learning technology that they forget to just make sense of the opportunities before them. 

Combine activities to give more time in breakout rooms when possible. It makes a difference.  Short breakout rooms are not good.
