In the document attached we have collated some questions for Careers Leaders to find out what is already happening within different departments and to start conversations about what’s possible within subject lessons and schemes of work. You can use these questions to set up a survey, or to guide a conversation where the notes can be used for further discussion and action within each department.

The new Gatsby Benchmarks 4 now says: As part of the school’s programme of careers education, all teachers should link curriculum learning with careers. Subject teachers should highlight the progression routes for their subject and the relevance of the knowledge and skills developed in their subject for a wide range of career pathways.

With 22 subjects, from Art and Design to Technology and Textiles, each subject-led resource pack now features two different engaging classroom activities and updated posters. 

Each of the 44 unique subject-led activities have been designed to encourage students to explore how apprenticeships can link with their favourite subjects and are suitable for all year groups. 

The activity packs have everything a teacher could possibly need, so whether you know a lot or a little about apprenticeships, you can be confident you'll deliver a great session!
