         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>PREASSESSMENT - FRENCH 2 - READING &amp; WRITING<br>(Tuesday - Speaking - in pairs)</strong></div><ul><li>This will count as a "Practice" grade for completing it.&nbsp;</li><li>If you do well - at Novice Mid 2 or 3 (this would be a B or A in French 1 level), you may choose to count it as an assessment grade for this grading period.</li><li>In April, you will take the POST-assessment to measure how much progress you have made (moving towards the Novice High levels). That will be 50% of your FINAL EXAM GRADE. Then you will have a final exam at finals time.(We will cover more material after the Post Assessment that is part of French 2)</li><li>Why are we doing this? I have to measure your growth for the teacher evaluation system. It also is a good way for you to see where you are starting now, and how far you are able to grow.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>This is a district-approved assessment - DO NOT CHEAT.
