If you cannot see the writing very well because this is a very old artifact. It says that ¨We eat Fruits and Vegstables¨  The Aztecs wrote using symbols called glyphs or pictographs. They didn't have an alphabet, but used pictures to represent events, items, or sounds. Only the priests knew how to read and write. The Aztec’s general patterns consisted of lines, zigzags, and diamond shapes. They sometimes represented animals, gods, or astrology. Aztec jewelry is often very colorful. The upper class, such as emperors and nobles, wore jewelry with precious stones or gems. Common people wore woven or beaded jewelry. To make this, I used six different color strings, and knotted them to construct a bracelet.

The bags usually contain objects that symbolize "personal well being and tribal identity" (Wikipedia). The Medicine Bag represents the Sioux heritage as items inside the bag are handed down from generation to generation (such as a piece of sage). Other items found in medicine bags are personal items for a person's vision or quest. Some of the things they were most famous for (art wise), was their fine quill art, native beading, pipestone carving, and pottery. From what I observed, the pots used repeating symbols, and some could be deciphered into a story. They also used a lot of different types of pottery. They made vases, pots, bowls, and even sculptures. One of the articles that I found called Cheyenne by Britannica states, “The Cheyenne moved farther west to the area of the Black Hills, where they developed a unique version of nomadic Plains culture and gave up agriculture and pottery” (Britannica 2). Even though most of the people gave up making pottery, some descendants still make it today!

I made this by making a pinch-pot and then molded the walls up, and curved the edges.      This is the bow in a bush it has a brown strong string with a strong stick. This bow once belonged to the Pueblo Tribe. They must have been hunting and one of them lost their bow. 

This bow represents when the tribe was in social groups because, when the Pueblo Tribe was hunting with bow and arrows, they communicated in groups because they went out hunting in groups. When the Pueblo Tribe goes out hunting in groups they talk to each other of what their plan is to go and hunt.

They also created different types of drums such as turtle shell drums which were beat with other animal parts. There was also a rasp drum which was like a percussion and string instrument at the same time. These instruments were used for intimidating purposes, ritual and spiritual means, and sacrificial scenes. Music was seen as a way to communicate with the gods.
