I remember history was one of my least favorite subjects. Fortunately, in sixth grade I participated in a Greek Olympics, we were assigned a person in history to study and be. During the medieval unite we built castles, drew classes and the teacher was the queen, and we had to do certain jobs according to our class. we mummified a chicken during the Egyptian unite, etc.
I want to know what fun activities or role playing you did in the younger grades or what you have done as a teacher, or just an idea you think is good.

for my fifth grade activity, we had three tables. one had the king and four Parliament. the other two had Mississippi, and other colonies. the king has us pay taxes with Swedish fish. the king would tell the teacher with a piece of paper, then the teacher give it to a kid who is assignment to be the taxes collector, he goes to the colonies and brings it back to the king.
if you didn't pay the taxes you would go to jail.
there is a page that told you what you needed to pay, for example; if you had internet pay 2 if you have a computer at home pay 5. jar has papers for drawing roles to play.
