         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Region: </strong>South East Asia<br><strong>Countries: </strong>Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei<br><strong>Natural Features: </strong>Rainforest (one of the oldest), a wide range of plant / animal species (15,000 flowering plants, 3000 trees, 221 land mammals, 440 freshwater fish, 420 bird species)<br>Well known for the Orangutans, an endangered species<br><strong>Attractions: </strong>Tutle Island (a breeding ground for endangered turtles), Bako National Park, Mount Kinabalu (South East Asia's third-highest mountain)<br><strong>Locals: </strong>Iban?Dayak tribe people<br><strong>Economic Considerations/Impacts: </strong>Large income for towns (positive), creating jobs for local people (guides, selling local crafts)<br><strong>Socio-Cultural Considerations/Impacts:<br></strong>New job opporunities reduces the need for young people to move away from their traditional lifestyle to find jobs in the cities, increased standard of living in rural towns (better facilities, better access to drinking water, roads, electricity), preserves culture especially for younger generations as they view their culture as important and valued<br><strong>Environmental Consideration/Impacts<br></strong>Helps preserve natual environment from threats such as the process of deforestation for palm oil, increasing visitors could put stress on the natural environment if not managed correctly, wildlife could get stressed from visitors and relocate</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Region</em>: Asia. <br><br><em>Country</em>: Mongolia. <br><br><em>Natural Features:</em> <br>Surrounded by hilly green hills with loads of grass and large alpine trees, horse back riding provides tourists to ride them. <em>Attractions:</em> Hustai National Park sprawls across hills that fold up from the earth and recede to a distant blue haze in a seemingly endless ripple of green landscape. Trails lead across the steppe to the remote Moilt camp. In some important areas where environmental quality was impaired, the situation has improved in recent years (air quality in Athens, restoration of architectural and historical heritage). In others (e.g. bathing water quality) deterioration has been prevented.<br><br>economic considerations/impacts:&nbsp;<br>tourism constitutes one of the more important economic activities in Greece. In 2003, Greece welcomed approximately 14 million tourists (excluding cruises). The major portion (90%) came from Europe and 70% from EU countries. The tourism industry in Greece accounts for approx 16% of GDP. Within Europe, the country has over 3% of international tourist arrivals. The proportion of foreign holidaymakers is very high, at almost 75%.<br><br>social-cultural considerations/impacts:<br>Europe is the most important tourist region in the world. According to UNWTO, in 2006 nearly 55% of all international tourist arrivals (461 million) were on the “old continent”.Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region are the favourite holiday destinations in Europe.
